Welcome to Calvary Fellowship Ottawa! We are a Bible-believing church located in Ottawa, meeting at Sunnyside Wesleyan Church on Sundays at 4 PM. Everyone is welcome to join us for worship, preaching, and prayer. During the service, we offer a Children’s Ministry for kids from nursery age to grade 6. After the service, we enjoy a no-host potluck dinner where we spend time together in community.
We also host a Thursday Night Fellowship downstairs at the church every Thursday from 6-8 PM. This time is dedicated to worshiping God, sharing food, and studying the Bible together. We would love for you to join us!
WHAT WE BELIEVE
~ We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all.
~ We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error in the original manuscripts, and the infallible rule of faith and practice.
~ We believe in God the Father, and infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
~ We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teaching; His substitutional atoning death, bodily resurrection, and ascension into heaven; and that he will return.
~ We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Jesus Christ; we believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide.
~ We believe that all men are sinners and need to put their faith in Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins so that they can have peace with God
~ We believe that there are two ordinances committed to the Church by Jesus Christ.
1. Baptism
2. The Lord’s Supper (Communion)
~ We believe in Baptism by immersion and communion open to all believers.
