Here we look at another thesis statement from Paul, which opens up a section that extends into chapter 3, where, Paul is giving his “worldview.” He is diagnosing and analyzing reality and the human condition. He’s showing what the problem of life is, it’s sources, in order to spend the rest of the letter laying out the solution. Verse 18, of chapter 1 is fundamental to understanding the rest of the letter.
