We at Calvary Fellowship Ottawa understand that visiting a new church can be very intimidating! But we want it to feel like a place you can belong. Whether you’re looking for a new church or visiting from another church, we want you to know you’re always welcome.
Our service starts at 4 pm. There are plenty of seats, and the parking lot can be found behind the church building, with street parking also available.
When you arrive at Calvary, you will be greeted by our ushers, who will give you our bulletins that contain all the information for upcoming events as well as our sermon notes. We also have pre-service snacks in the foyer if you arrive before the service.
Families stay together for worship and announcements. After the announcements, the children are dismissed. The nursery children go upstairs, where we have a beautiful space, including a nursing room for mothers who want privacy. Children aged four to six attend a preschool Sunday School class, while children aged seven to twelve go to an elementary Sunday School class. In these classes, they are taught from the Bible by our excellent Sunday School teachers. After the service, parents can sign their children out from their respective classes.
At Calvary, we are committed to preaching the Bible, and we go chapter by chapter through the books of the Bible. When the sermon is over, we as a church feel strongly that prayer is important, so we invite people to circle up and spend some time praying. We understand that everyone is on their own faith journey, and if that is not something you’re comfortable doing, don’t feel like you must. After the service, we also have a no-host potluck. If it is your first time, we invite you to stay with no pressure to bring anything with you. We plan on having visitors and plan accordingly for the meal.
